Soft bones and tooth disease – what can we do about them?
Our last Café scientifique, in collaboration with the CIHR, will be broadcasted on Canal Savoir TV this fall during the first week of October, at the following schedule:

On June 7, 2016, under an RSBO initiative, researchers, health professionals and patient advocacy representants gatherred to talk about osteomalacies, and more precisely two rare diseases : hypophosphatasia and hypophosphatemia.
One of the largest concentrations of hypophosphatasia patients in the world is the Mennonite population in Canada in the Winnipeg (Manitoba) region. Amongst the panelists, you will find those who have contributed to the development of an enzyme replacement therapy for one of these diseases (hypophosphatasia) – developed largely in Montreal − is now on the market in Canada and many countries worldwide.
